“L’ aménagement du territoire” of Guy Debord: an accurate forecast

Resumen

The work of Debord about the arrangement of the territory among different interpretations could be considered a forecast on the geography of globalization, particularly in countries such as Chile, where the market economy is the political regime. Indeed, Debord described in 1967 a scenario that decades later consolidate several features which at that time he anticipated: collapse of the current regional barriers, privatization of public spaces, incontinence to invest in pristine territories, architecture socially classified and devotion to the car.
